OUR STORY
THIS ISN’T YOUR GRANDMA’S BEAN BAG.
The thought of bean bags conjures up wood-paneled basements and bellbottoms—as well as endless shifting to remain comfortable in a Styrofoam pellet-filled leather bag. While the idea of furniture that would conform to your shape was good, the result was a little lackluster. That’s where Jaxx steps in.
We have brought modern sensibility to the grand ideas of alternative furniture. Gone are the pellets that slip and don’t provide support for long sitting sessions. We have developed an approach that not only provides comfort but is also good for the environment.
Like scientists for relaxation, we have developed the perfect concoction of foam that provides enough support and bounce to meet our standards and provide unsurpassed coziness. Even more, we have en-robed our foam in fabrics that are soft to the touch and durable to last for years. Plus, because of the interior liner, your can easily remove the cover for washing or change it out if you want to change your decor.
This concept moved from bean bags into full-fledged furniture. We started dreaming of furniture that would hold those same ideals of support and comfort without the stiff, unmovable nature of traditional furniture. We created a line of products that are not only beautiful but also intelligent in the way they are able to change to suit our customers' needs. They are ottomans that can be chairs, and chairs that can be beds. Our indoor line is more than a few pieces of furniture. They are elegantly designed solutions.
We think of our products as more than furniture—we provide you with your own little cloud nine. By finding fluidity in your environment, you are given a space for focusing on well being and what is important in life. Just as our furniture flawlessly adapts to your needs, you can adopt a mindset that promotes openness and adaptability. We call it Casual Living, but we are ok if you just think of it as your happy place.

OUR 220+ EMPLOYEES THANK YOU!
At Jaxx we like doing things differently. Since our inception over 10 years ago, we've been marching to the beat of our own drum machine. When other beanbags sank under the pressure, we rose to the challenge of providing comfort and stability. And at a time when other companies did anything to make a buck, we worked to make Jaxx a brand with principals—being environmentally conscious, making a quality and long-lasting product, and being made right here in the USA.
Jaxx has an incredible team of superheroes (well over 100 of us!) working behind the scenes in our Atlanta factory. These sewing artisans, production workers, designers, administrative and customer service personnel are not just workers - they are part of the Jaxx family. We know the faces of our workers and give them the chance to make a fair wage while maintaining a sweatshop-free environment. Each one of us is a shareholder in our company, which gives us the rare benefit of job security and year-round employment. Our workers are also among the highest-paid sewers in the world, and we offer on-the-job training to those who want to learn. In a business dominated by seasonal work and low pay, we are happily the weirdos.
Our high standards of quality aren't just for our workers. We have teamed up with several American-based suppliers to help keep our furniture as fantastic as possible, such as our New England- and California-based fabric mills and our Georgia-based foam supplier. When we can’t make a product ourselves, like with some of the wood from our futons, we partner with manufacturers who share our rock-star goals and down-home values.
Cut and sew manufacturing is hard to do in the United States, but we like a challenge. We work hard to make our products and practices extraordinary. From Jaxx family, we thank you for your support, and promise to continue our quest to make the best bean bags and furniture available, right here at home.
